Video games, are they getting too expensive?

This is the price of the Wii U games, the prices to me are skyrocketing as they have in the past but is it too much? The games for newer consoles like the still rumored xbox 720 and the playstation 4 will be much higher than nintendo prices if they follow the pattern from the past. Is this too much to ask for games? In my opinion if prices follow the pattern I am seeing then I will be quite happy to stay with the xbox 360 I already own.
