Is Flappy Bird making a comeback? App's creator tweets response to fan after inquiry

The popular Flappy Bird app could make a comeback!

In response to a fan, the popular app store game's creator, Don Nguyen,tweeted Wednesday morning that Flappy Bird would be returning "but not soon."

"It will not be the original game but a better one. I keep my word," he added in another tweet.

Nguyen removed the game from app stores just over a month ago on Feb. 9. 

Earlier this month, Nguyen told Rolling Stone that Flappy Bird's popularity ruined his "simple life." He also said he was considering bringing it back.

Nguyen has turned down offers to buy the game.
